The Hong-Kong-based GCC Group, a company that claims to be the only independent designer and manufacturer of 100 percent brand new toner cartridges that are compatible with most machines, has launched GCC Intellectual Property Pty Ltd (GCC IP), a company formed to examine and maintain the intellectual property portfolio of GCC, ensuring its toner cartridges do not infringe registered patents of other product manufacturers. The new company GCC IP will be based in Australia and is headed up by Chris Mercer, co-founder and chief technical officer of the GCC Group. He is an expert on patent research and has been involved in new toner cartridges product development and intellectual property matters for 10 years. The company will do comprehensive searches of existing patents, filing GCC patent applications, in-depth analysis of existing intellectual property, and consulting with patent attorney firms around the world.
