I've owned a villa in Portugal for quite a few years now, but although my friends and I have spent a number of enjoyable holidays there, it’s become a bit insipid by the now all too familiar sights and surroundings.

I had a look at selling my current property, and investing into another in a different location to freshen up my holidays by going somewhere new. I'd heard good things about Bulgaria being really expansive in terms of tourism over the past decade, and so searched the Internet for Bulgarian properties.

I found The Vines, who are a part of McAlpine Homes Ltd. They advertise some really pretty looking properties in the Bourgas area, set in the Bulgarian countryside. I perused their three bedroom villas, as I tend to bring a few companions with me on my holidays for a week or two of partying. Their villas all looked fantastic, all brand new builds in a great location.

I arranged some viewings, and flew out to see what could become my new holiday home. The Vines' staff were really great, always ready to answer questions and help. The whole process has been a very enjoyable experience, as I'm just getting down to the logistics stage of my move to Bulgaria.

Things are looking good so far, with their fantastic prices and reassuring benefits. In a few weeks time, I'll be relaxing and taking in the sun in my brand new Bulgarian villa. Bring it on!
