Hyperhidrosis

I do some stand-up comedy in my spare time at some local pubs and bars. I’ve wanted to do it since I was a kid, and I’ve been going for about three years now. I’m pretty pleased with my act, although I’m forever trying to improve it, but there’s a bigger issue that’s holding me back.

I really enjoy being on stage and feeding off the crowd’s energy, but there’s nothing more embarrassing than lifting your arms and the having the stage light illuminating the huge sweat patches on my shirt.

As soon as I catch a glimpse of them, I become really conscious and my focus starts to fluctuate. So much so that I notice a real decline in the second half of my act.

Luckily, I found Sweat Guard online, who have provided me with an ingenious answer to my problem. The company specialise in products that combat hyperhidrosis, a condition that causes excessive sweating.

They’re washable sweat pads are absolutely brilliant. You can just sew or safety pin them into your shirt and then the specialised material ensures that they soak up all your sweat for no one to see.

Since using sweat pads I’ve become so much more confident on stage, and my act has really benefitted.
